The Carlton Road centre is exactly what I was thinking of Mark. And I think the hut is used for equipment storage for the football etc, but the tarmacked area where it is is currently used for outdoor table tennis, kicking around footballs and a bit of precious space, increasingly being encroached upon with the addition of park furniture, for dog walkers. I think the area should be kept entirely for outdoor space. There was once a proposal to build a doctor's surgery in the park and that was vetoed I believe for that reason. There are scout huts and other buildings in the vicinity that I am sure could be adapted to serve this purpose better. |
