I'm glad to see we will AT long last get our footbridge which will lessen the station's gulag exterior. The upgrading of the buses etc was a softer easier option to implement. There proably is alreadyl a breach of the S106 condiiton assuming the time limit by which work should have started has expired. Imperial Wharf had to wait ages for their new station which was part of a S106. I agree its a no brainer to upgrade Chiswick Park with a new line since it's has so much space. The chimney tower to me is ugly but no doubt is listed and therefore untouchable. The Lendlease development will put more pressure on forcing an upgrade and an upgrade would have been conditional in the s106 but never agreed because we don't have a Westfield scenario here just some new resi's and refurb of the office tower to convert to residential. I wouldn't have thought Sainsbury's will ever upgrade and enter into a s106 which requires a station upgrade.Supermarkets are emore cautious now because more consumers shop online and are also mindful of what happened to Tesco who had to sell some of their private jets. Why doesn't the Richmond train stop at C P? |
