I had to look that one up - seem to remember the 'nominative' as part of grammar (nouns - the names of things no doubt). Not necessarily though - I have always and still think of myself as British but as time goes along I am beginning to think 'English'. Why not? - nobody is begrudged their Scottishness, Irishness or Welshness and we are indeed reminded often enough that that is how many see themselves. Interestingly, the name England is very common in Dyfed, Wales - something like 5% of the Englands in the whole of the UK. |
