Unfortunately until they get even closer to Europe's borders, which they will, nothing will be done. Hitler had nothing on them. They are the biggest threat to civilisation going forward and if I had very young children I would be very worried about their future in the new world.
So many things have got better - drugs to sort so many problems, a better standard of living in the West at least than the parents of the older members of society had, wonderful technologiacal inventions including television which, sad creature that I am I still marvel at its information and entertainment providing abilities - but the threats of today really are at least on a par with those of Hitler, and in some ways much more insidious. But at the moment they are not so immediate, so it suits politicians to play them down. |
