Yes the initial knee jerk reaction is they are horrid plastic green monsters but if you visit the environs of the Glebe Estate the monsters now accord with the beautiful housing as long as we too in Ealing are given grey we'll be fine.

Some households have even yuppified their wheelies by enclosing them in a white double door vented box with silver handles so you can't see them.Beautiful.

Compared to the bursting black sacks often ripped by local vermin (ie rats and foxes not humans etc) they hold the rubbish better and the size is perfect.

I have never bought into the recycling hype since we are deluding ourselves if we feel the UK has any impact on lowering carbon emissions.Zilch.

It generally all ends up on a slow boat to China who can't get enough of our plastic since its cheaper for LA's to send it to China.I never understand how anyone turns up at a local dump leaving their 4 x 4 running thinking they're doing thier bit to save the planet.
