Actually, you are doing yourself no favours by turning it off with a timer and you should use the power save function within the HH itself. The HH uses <3watts when inactive so you are saving very little and the DSLAM (you 'bit of kit')at the exchange will see your hub requesting a 'clean' connection each time it turns on. I would leave it on permanently for five days to see if your speeds improve/stabilise. |
