You can pick a keyboard you like the look and feel of and use it instead of the keyboard on your laptop. This has the advantage of being able to move your laptop farther away, or higher up, so you can see the screen better. Also you can use a 'proper' keyboard, not just the little flat square keys that come with most keyboards. These plug into the USB port on the side of your keyboard with a lead. I'd suggest getting down to Maplins and having a look around. Closer to home, Robert Dyas sell a few different ones. Good luck, and welcome to the exciting world of keyboards.
