"The Labour candidate comes from the ranks of the Hounslow ruling Party, which hardly a glowing reference. The Tory Candidate isn’t that effective so why vote them back in. So who do you vote for amongst the rest ?" After much soul searching and not having a bloody clue what to do this time even as a lifelong Labour voter and a former party member for just over 30 years, and who is extremely disillusioned with Hounslow Council and not particularly enamoured with Ruth's performance, although I have known her for many years, this has been a real soul searching decision. I would rather chop my hands off than vote Tory, the Lib Dems - I hope - will be consigned to oblivion as they deserve, UKIP? God help us all! The Greens are off the wall with some of their policies, so what a quandary. What I do know is I want the NHS invested in, state schools properly resourced and stop all this free school nonsense, a massive public house building programme, working people's employment rights respected and enhanced, and decent living wages so that everyone who works pays tax to fund our public services, and our justice system to deliver affordable and meaningful justice. Is there anyone out there on my wavelength? Answers please. |
