Perhaps some of your neighbours regard erecting propaganda boards in front gardens as a dirty trick, though I realise that it's allowed by law for a pending election. Anyway the democratic process still has nearly 4 weeks to grind on before the election, so your prediction is not a certainty. In my view the old system where the government gave 3 weeks' notice of an election was preferable. We've had 2 weeks' campaigning already (though it seems longer) and we haven't even seen the party manifestos yet. |
