Good call Robert. I had lunch with him.. and played an afternoon's cricket with him.. faced his leg-spin and kept him out … while my batting partner, Andy McCully smashed him all over the ground – which he took with a huge smile.. Brilliant fellah. Great Aussie. True gentleman, truly cavalier cricketer and (with John Arlott) one of the two finest commentators of all time.. |
