Perhaps Youngs are ok with dogs - one of my rescue dogs is registered with them but has only needed superficial treatment such as vaccinations. Not so happy with the treatment of cats, both Jill and I have experience of that, so if you want more info please pm us and we can tell you in some detail about our experiences.
They use young, inexperienced vets straight out of college who while very nice, imho are not the right people to sort difficult cases - or even perhaps fairly straighforward operations such as neutering - and you never know whn those are going to occur. As with dog boarders, be careful who you trust your animals with. Even for a basic operation such as neutering, ask who will do it, how much experience do they have, what anaesthesia and drugs will they use and what aftercare will be provided. Yes, it takes a few hours to google it all but if you love your pet, do it. |
