| I must confess to being baffled by the tone of some of the comments on this thread. Unless I am missing something, Picturehouse are a cinema company which is very different from the big distribution chains, they want to open in Chiswick, but are facing difficulties and delays etc. I suspect they are a hell of a lot more disappointed than even the most committed cinemagoer amongst us, and are busily engaged in trying to overcome the obstacles. (Let's face it, anyone who ever tries to do anything in Chiswick invariably comes up against some permanently aggrieved Residents Group, or competing Commercial Interest.) Yet some people are complaining about a lack of notification and consultation, with one poster even demanding an "apology"! I await the first claim for compensation from Picturehouse for "hurt feelings" or somesuch... |
