I was taken by ambulance to West Middlesex hospital recently to A&E at 5am on a Sunday morning. By 7am I was moved to an observation ward where they decided to keep me in overnight. I was given a bed by 6pm, then moved again at 11pm. I was diagnosed with pneumonia, pleurisy, and hypoxia and finished staying three nights. Although A&E staff were initially suggesting that I head home with antibiotics, the hypoxia made them keep me in. The staff were professional throughout and I am sure would not send someone home who could die. They are in the business of saving lives - something they did for me. |
