| Hi Terry, you may already be planning this but if not, definitely consider writing the insurance "In Trust". Only 6% of people do this apparently, but it means the sum can be paid directly to your beneficiaries, rather than to your Estate. On this basis, the sum of money won't have to go through Probate. The policy should pay out within a couple of weeks, rather than months and this obviously takes financial pressure off your family at an already stressful time. |
