Not so much outdated, but just need to be handled differently. NiMH batteries have a "memory" which means if they are left in cradle from the start they don't perform to their optimum, but they're not as bad as the old Nickel Cadmium (NiCad) batteries. All you need to do is a couple of full charge/discharge/recharge cycles to start with. Then they'll be fine to be left in the cradle, with the occasional full discharge/recharge cycle, every couple of months or so. |
