Dear Mr Munn

Thank you for getting in touch with us on 6 June about Gunnersbury Underground station.

Im sorry to hear that you have concerns about the safety of the station. I appreciate your reasons for contacting us, particularly in light of the continued growth of Chiswick Business Park.

As such, Im glad to let you know that as part of our continuing programme to improve the Tube, work is already underway to improve the existing facilities at Gunnersbury station. We have carried out some work on the staircase to create more space and reduce congestion, and plan to also remodel the ticket hall to improve passenger flows within that part of the station.

This improvement work was assessed with all factors in mind. These factors included the possible move of Brentford FC and the redevelopment and growth of Chiswick Business Park, and the increase in customer numbers that would be seen as a result.

However, we will also continue to monitor customer use at the station. In addition, whilst the works being carried out currently are the full extent of planning works for Gunnersbury, we will continue to review the improvements we are able to make.

For more information about the improvements were making across our network, please take a look at our website tfl.gov.uk/tube-improvement.

Thank you again for taking the time to get in touch. Please contact us again if there is anything else we can help you with or, if you would prefer to talk to us please call 0343 222 1234.

Kind regards

Complaisant Shrugger-Off
