Yes. As you know, I live in the W4 next street to you, also scheduled for Thursday, which raises the question of where my street puts its vehicles if they can't move them temporarily to your street - or vice versa. As entertaining is the proposal to 'deep clean' the street, since in our case it's in a shockingly poor condition, but not scheduled (according to HH's interactive 'Your Works' map) for repair till 2017. At least the potholes will be more visible under the shimmering Spring sunshine and the Klieg street lights at night. Meanwhile, the pavements, saved from the prospect of tarmac, aren't on the map at all. I did write to the Council's now departed Head of Communications, and bring it up at the Chiswick Area Forum, but that was only a year ago, so you can't expect them to rush these things. |
