We have always had exceptional service from British Gas.Not just the central heating, but also with the cooker.About 10 years ago, the oven refused to light on Christmas morning.I didn't think we would see anyone until after the holidays.But an engineer arrived at about 9.30.He spent about an hour trying to fix the oven, but unfortunately,because the oven had a mercury switch which needed replacing, and he didn't have one, he was unable to repair the oven.He did however manage to get the pilot light to stay on which allowed the oven to function long enough to cook lunch.He returned the day after boxing day and replaced the mercury switch.
