I guess it depends on the age of your boiler.As I said, our old one used to break down about once a month, and boiler parts are ridiculously expensive.The heat exchanger for our boiler was 400.That didn't include VAT or fitting.The 240 yearly cost for the insurance probably wouldn't cover the cost of one call out.If your boiler is reasonably new I guess it's worth taking a chance, but anything over 5 years, insurance has got to be the best bet.
