"Are these symptoms of a growth in violent crime in Chiswick?"! The future is hard to predict and of course it is never pleasant to be the victim of crime but (without being too complacent) the statistics show Chiswick to be a remarkably crime free part of London. That said specific areas have significant problems with motor vehicle related crime and burglaries. The information from the Met Police Crime mapping website shows the following stats for notifiable offences Nov 2014 Chiswick Riverside: 67 Chiswick Homefields 99 Turnham Green 110 December 2014 Chiswick Riverside: 43 Chiswick Homefields 83 Turnham Green 93 January Chiswick Riverside: 53 Chiswick Homefields 66 Turnham Green 75 So as far as data is available all three wards show a downward trend in notifiable crime. There is a similar downward trend over the last three years. 2011/12 Chiswick Riverside: 849 Chiswick Homefields 1,125 Turnham Green:1,351 2012/13 Chiswick Riverside: 844 Chiswick Homefields: 1,174 Turnham Green: 1,397 2013/14 Chiswick Riverside: 789 Chiswick Homefields: 919 Turnham Green: 1,182 In the case of violence against the person offences the January 2015 figures are a matter for concern. However the overall trend has been downward. There will always be fluctuations in the figures. Nov 2014 Chiswick Riverside: 6 Chiswick Homefields: 16 Turnham Green: 19 December 2014 Chiswick Riverside: 7 Chiswick Homefields: 8 Turnham Green: 11 January Chiswick Riverside: 14 Chiswick Homefields 10 Turnham Green 20 There has been a mainly stable position or slightly downward trend in violence against the person over the last three years. 2011/12 Chiswick Riverside: 132 Chiswick Homefields: 131 Turnham Green: 211 2012/13 Chiswick Riverside: 100 Chiswick Homefields: 124 Turnham Green: 194 2013/14 Chiswick Riverside: 133 Chiswick Homefields: 123 Turnham Green: 181 |
