I couldn't care less about the cars, most of which you and I are never going to be able to afford anyway, or even if we could are not remotely practical for the average bod's day to day lives. When I watch the show I enjoy the silly banter and the various races they do, like the one across London at rush hour or more recently St. Petersburg, although obviously bits are staged. The wanton destruction of older cars, caravans etc. is rather puerile, but I don't think it's worth getting knickers in a twist about because if someone takes that kind of perspective on everything in life then they are going to be a far too stale and boring individual - life shouldn't always be taken seriously. Suffice to say it worries me far more that we've got Farage in a position where he might genuinely have some say in the running of the country. Terrifies me when I see these documentaries about UK 'natives' on benefits, who clearly have no inclination or commitment to work but expect the state to give them everything whilst they slob around complaining about having no money or jobs being taken by foreigners, yet somehow always have money to smoke, drink or get tattoos - we need to get our own house in order first. |
