Doug If they are quality oak chairs then I would recommend, without hesitation, Ian King who is based on Uxbridge Road Hanwell (there is free parking within 20 yards of the shop). A real traditional craftsman who has done work for me and is the 'go to' man for any work on all of the limed oak in our local church. He repairs and restores using traditional methods and tools and we have even commissioned him to make new furniture from scratch to match items that were stolen (you cannot tell which is which). He is not cheap but will give you an honest assessment if you take the chairs to him. 020 8579 9572 |
