Crikey, what a long thread, and I have to admit I haven' t read it all which I know is a bit hypocritial as I am annoyed when people post on threads which clearly show they haven't read all the posts. So OK, mea culpa here. My view for what it is worth - there are a lot of people in this country who disagree fundamentally with our beliefs. But I think we are at fault because we don't articulate those beliefs clearly enough. If we do do that, and people don't agree, they have a choice between putting up with it, voting in a democratic process to try to change it, or leaving the country. Or taking radical action. If the latter involves risk to life, to my mind that is not acceptable. |
