Hahaha, Richard, have you tried taking an E3 bus to Chiswick station at the weekend at the moment and 'a train or two from there' when Chiswick Bridge is closed?  Although I like meeting my friends in Richmond, an hour and a half each way - and probably more -  means, not being retired and thus able to enjoy unlimited time to travel,  I will postpone to when public transport becomes both public and transport.  At the moment it is neither.
