An interesting and amusing programme on Channel 4 last night. It was good to see Jon Snow and Jenny Bond blasted. But I thought they could have found a better word than 'hash' to define all the types of cannabis weaker than skunk because, as Wikipedia has it: 'Hashish, or hash, is a cannabis product composed of compressed or purified preparations of stalked resin glands, called trichomes. It contains the same active ingredients—such as THC and other cannabinoids—but often in higher concentrations than unsifted buds or leaves.' - it was the brown stuff you crumbled as opposed to 'grass' which was the dried plant. And hash was often much stronger than grass. Anyway ... I find it very hard to understand why, given the evidence, the main political parties are so reluctant to make any changes in the law. The majority of the public now favour reform, so what's going on? |
