I have a small pond that is home to lots of frogs and toads but a funny thing happened this weekend.  On Sunday morning I noticed 3 dead frogs on the patio, when I went to clear them up I kept finding more and more of them - in the end I disposed of 9 dead frogs, had to put 3 more out of their misery and encourage 2 stunned chaps back into the pond.  The all seemed to have severe head injuries ... I assume it wasn't a heron as no effort had been made to actually eat them.  Could it have been a cat or a fox (the patio stank of fox pee)?
