So many fish puns on various threads over the last couple of days.

I really don't know who to vote for.  A green party is attractive but their policies are lunatic.  For example, how are they going to pay for a flat rate of around £80.00 per week whether they are working or not, rich or not, etc etc, just so people feel not threatened by poverty?  Madness.  And although a few of their policies are good, many of them are as lunatic as the one I mentioned.

Lib Dems - just no.  A party that doesn't believe in the necessity of a nuclear deterrent in the face of ISIS and Putin is mad.  They are as out of touch as the Greens.  Ditto the SNP.

Labour - far too academic, out of touch with reality -  just about all the policies they have come up with have been rightly shot down in flames as not thought through with some serious implications, eg capping energy bills - they will go up beforehand plus other unintended consequences;  the tuition fee issue etc - universities say it will backfire on the poorest students,  Balls' complete incompetence including the latest fiasco on demanding a receipt for cash in hand payments when that is not necessary etc.  I think big business needs reining in, but Labour, in hoc to the unions as it is, is not going to be able to do that while keeping them onside which we need to do as they rightly are the engine of the Western economy.

Tories - they have done some good things but need to go further and personally I hate their cowtowing to votes over issues like animal rights.  In fact they cowtow to anyone to get votes.  And although I don#t mind a clampdown on unfair benefits, to target the sick and disabled is unforgivable.  They need more heart, and Boris is not, despite the press today, the one to provide it.

UKIP - hmm, maybe a stronger line on immigration - why can't we have the scheme the Cayman Islands apparently have, you can only come if you have a job - which would help all round, but they are climate change deniers, have a dodgy attitude to women and many other things including equality in general.

As a woman, I will vote as I think given the fact our predecssors died in order to change the law to allow us to, but at the moment I have no idea how.
