| One (hopefully) unintentional side-effect of these temporary changes - is that there's now no where to safely cross either Acton Lane or Southfield road at this junction. I do understand Zebra crossings will shortly be installed - but I fail to the see the logic in removing one crossing before providing an alternative. There are a large number of children who use this junction on their way to and from school - some alone, and some with parents - they're now left having to dodge through the traffic as best they can, or having to talk right down Acton road to the next crossing. Also the lack of any "New Junction Layout" warning signs on the road, means than many motorists who regularly use this road are slowing down unessesarily at this junction trying to figure out what's going on. All in all, a total shambles. |
