My view is going to be of no use at all, but last August we cruised into Venice past St Marks Sq and all the sites - it was truly amazing and if you could do it - go for it - but that means a cruise on a large liner - which is not what you're doing. A good way to find little places however is to 'geo-cache' your way around the city. Not sure if you've tried it, but get an app on your phone, look it up, and you end up in places you'd never come across. You have to sit in St Marks for a coffee, but you'll need to rob a bank before you sit down. We paid 17 euros for one coffee, one tea and a glass of water!! |
