Agree absolutely, Colin. It was tough, uncompromising, tautly directed and brilliantly edited, quite apart from the riveting storylines and stunning acting (who'd  want to stand crushed up against Berthaud in the Metro during a heatwave?  She always looks as if she needs a good hot shower!)  Also agree with Janine’s point about the villains all being black North Africans, especially in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo events in Paris last month.

I too am impatient for the return of ‘Spiral’ (and keeping my fingers crossed for Berthaud’s baby…).
