No, you are not alone in questioning the RAM's decision to raise money in the name of Anne Naysmith. I myself was a student at the RAM at the same time as Ms Naysmith and know that she had little respect for that institution. It would indeed be incredibly tasteless to suggest that the RAM is being opportunistic, but is seems great shame that the RAM seems to have done absolutely nothing to assist Ms Naysmith during her lifetime. If readers wish to make a donation, perhaps they should be encouraged to make a donation instead to St Michaels & All Angels.
