"I am wondering if I'm alone in questioning the Royal Academy of Music seeking to raise money for themselves in her name?"

I didn't get the impression that the RAM was actively seeking to raise money in her name.  Unless you have evidence to the contrary, I think it's more likely that their quoted response of being "deeply grateful to receive donations in [her] memory" was in response to a media query.

The suggestion in another thread of an "Anne Naysmith Scholarship fund" at the RAM also seems unfounded.
