I have to say that I disagree. MGN Group (total revenues c.£660M) have made a £12M provision for phone hacking claims. The 'impact' on local tiles has been disproportionate. We now look for 'immediate' news and MGN have been slow, very slow, to react to this on a local level. Visit the 'getwestlondon' website which, supposedly, runs in parallel to the print titles and you will see how poor the MGN offering is in comparison to something run from a little office in Chiswick by NNet. |
