| Came across this text problem on my laptop running vista but not 7 on Desktop.|
If you are running any of the above platforms and are finding problems with text broken on say here when typing or in notepad or even viewing Google maps as more of an example this is because of a an update over the last 2 days. The update has caused a problem with the True-Type fonts on your machine. The patch is KB3013455 and Microsoft are working on a fix. It is OK to remove this patch yourself but remember that when doing so it will offer you the patch update to install so un-tick otherwise you will be back to square 1.
Start-->Control Panel-->Programs and Features-->View Installed Updates
Search for KB3013455 (search box is top right of window).
Right-click on or highlight KB3013455 then select Uninstall and re boot machine.
The security patch is as follows which will give you an idea of what your about to uninstall. For me its not an issue and will uninstall and await for a MS fix
This security update resolves one publicly disclosed and five privately reported vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows. The most severe of the vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if an attacker convinces a user to open a specially crafted document or visit an untrusted website that contains embedded TrueType fonts.
