Good on you, Janine, the small potatoes are the nicest, aren't they? The presenter on the lunchtime news (BBC I think but it could have been Sky) outside M&S in Chiswick could hardly keep a straight face as he branded a bunch of daffodils and a bunch of spring onions. You'd think the buds/flowers would give it away? I wouldn't be surprised if all food packaging, and plastic bags, soon has to be printed with a notice that says 'this is not part of your food order, do not eat', or all roads having a notice on the pavement 'crossing here could kill you' and even buses and cars having 'do not run in front of me or you could die' painted on their bonnet. But now we are so multicultural, I suppose we have to think of everything. After all those people who have emigrated here from rural communities probably aren't used to traffic. |
