"So yes, there are commuters - many - parking in Grove Park." I don't think anyone ever denied that there were commuters using the Grove Park area during the day, the roads there are, after all , public thoroughfares. What was disputed was the notion that there were hordes of commuters using the Chiswick House Grounds car parks who were then displaced upon the poor defenceless residents of Park Road when the car park introduced parking charges. If you were wanting to travel from Gunnersbury, Chiswick mainline station or Chiswick Park, there are much more conveniently situated free parking spaces and handy bus routes in, as you have spotted, the Grove Park area, and the area is large enough to accommodate them. It is the shutting off of individual roads with CPZs that causes problems elsewhere. |
