"After all, they must know that displacement is not a valid reason to object to a CPZ." So the displacement caused by the imposition of a CPZ in two roads, based on an entirely false premiss - the debouching of large numbers of (non-existent) commuters' cars into the streets around Chiswick House grounds - is not a valid reason to object to a CPZ? I would say it is a very good reason to object to that particular CPZ, and to resist the imposition of others which would merely create the same problem elsewhere. LBH, for obvious financial reasons, want the whole of the Grove Park area south of the A4 to be a CPZ - the majority of residents don't. I think these are very valid reasons to object to a CPZ. |
