I totally agree with that Adam. And at risk of making a vaguely political point, I find it particularly interesting that members and supporters of the Tory "opposition" seem to be amongst the staunchest defenders of this untimely outpouring of opulence (indeed they are its only defenders on this forum as their Labour counterparts uphold a time-honoured tradition of ignoring public concerns entirely). I guess they are content at having what seems to be a job for life in Chiswick in what seems to be part of a sordid unwritten deal in which they are permitted to play Herod in a forgotten corner of the borough, just so long as they continue to pay tribute to the supreme imperial power over at Lampton Road.
