| in reply to several of you (too many to mention individually) re earplugs....I have tried all types, wax and different foam ones, and cannot get on with any of them. The only ones I can tolerate are the foam ones, and they don't work. Re the airport being here for years....yes, that's one of the reasons I moved here because I used to travel a lot with my job. But the noise was never like this. There were never so many night flights, everyone agrees that air traffic has increased enormously. I've lived here since 1982, so I can make a qualified comparison. Double glazing....I wish. Can't afford it, am a pensioner, and my bedroom would you believe is the room in the flat which has a balcony....so double money to double glaze.
