I understand TfL is responsible for the running of the station though for instance, as a result of the ever increasing crowds trying to navigate the small staircase down the platform at peak times TfL were the ones who decided to remove the handrail which previously seperated the way up and down from the platform to the station in my mind this is now even more dangerous on the stairs (which is just one of the areas of concern re over crowding) as you will only need someone to stumble or a little too much pushing for there to be an accident on the on the stairs from my little exposure to TfL, for instance having tried for the best part of 6 month to get some figures from them regarding footfall at Gunnersbury incl asking people in person really nicely, a number of times i have not suceeded so far as far as i understand anyway, there seems to be NO level of footfall no matter what increase which TfL consider to be unsafe i wonder if someone should come to harm, there are so many parties involved with Gunnersburys station, that noone could be held responsible ? i am also aware that safety concerns regarding the safety of the crossing between CBP and station had been raised in summer again to do with it being inadequate to cope with the current footfall never mind when building 7 will bring a few more thousand workers and i am aware of 2 accidents happening there involving pedestrains at that crossing part 2 to follow |
