"'the rubbish men taking the black bags out of the wheelie bins and throwing them in the truck manually'?" I have watched them and they have a good system. If the wheelie only has one or two smaller bags they lift them out. If the wheelie is crammed to the brim they use the mechanical lift. Its at the discretion of the bin men who obviously also consider health and safety issues but it seems to me they have adopted a good system to maximise efficiency and speed. You will note that they look in every wheelie before making the decision on how to empty the rubbish. |
