| Steve, The camera I use most is a Canon 5D mkIII, the two lenses I most often have on it are the Canon 24-105 f4L IS USM and the Canon 70-300 f4-5.6L IS USM. Expensive but worth every penny. For top quality definition, you of course do need good lenses too. They say, you don't have to have a good camera to take good photos, but it all depends what you want to take. If you want full control and use towards extreme situations (for example very low light) then you really have to cough up the dough. However technology is so good and changing so fast, you can get extremely good cameras for far less than the 5D. One thing I do recommend very highly is the software that is bundled with Canon's DSLRs. I use it almost exclusively, rarely needing to venture to others like Photoshop. |
