|A good secret for those who either want to learn or play tennis (all ages for once !)is to enrol on an indoor(!) course at Chelsea Harbour run by Hammersmith|
Bit of a trek from Chiswick but there is a bus to Sands End
There is nowhere in London to my knowledge where you can play indoor tennis at this price and of course the club is exclusive.
Just don't shout too loudly whne you arrive "I'm here for the Council's tennis lessons".
The planning section 106 agreement must have obliged the Club to permit these lessons in order to obtain the permission and there quite a number of other places in London where buildings and offices have to be opened to the public for certain activities but the owners of these buldings do not want the whole world and his wife to know.
