The NHS has one of the thinnest management layers of any large organisation in western Europe with just about the highest proportion of front line staff. Compared to most local authorities the proportion of management staff is much lower. Management salary rises for the overwhelming percentage are determined by exactly the same percentage as for clinical staff other than doctors and dentists so what you say is completely false. People who work in NHS management have the same sense of vocation as those who work on the wards and hospitals would not function without them. It would be helpful if you bother to check some fact before spouting such ill-informed populist nonsense who I'm pretty sure make a much greater contribution to the public good than you do. |
