Sorry to hear about your bedhead falling off. The remedy may be quite simple. Take the mattress off and examine how the side rails were attached the headboard. Look at the other end of the bed as it is likely the side rails & foot board are attached the same way as the headboard. It is most probable that the side rail has a metal bracket screwed to it which in turn was screwed to the headboard or it has a metal downward facing ‘finger’ that was slotted into a metal slot on the headboard. If this is the case you could simply lift the two back together. (bolts or screws holding the bracket may have to be tighten first). It is unlikely to be a job for a carpenter unless it is antique in which case it may need special attention. I hope this helps and does not sound patronising. Good luck. |
