Paul, I've long suspected that the unexplained delay in  converting the old Rambert site was simply that the owners had got a better offer (probably a much, much better offer)  from developers for this prize piece of development potential on CHR, currently probably one of the hottest residential property development sites in London and I'm sorry to say this, but it's unlikely there'll be a space for a cinema - any cinema - on our high road for some time.

It was, to say the very least of it, disappointing of Picturehouse to claim this possibility as a done deal before the ink was dry on the contract, and if this is the case I think they ought to come out and either apologise or clarify the matter one way or another.
