| home on my computer not phone so lets get this off my chest. Ive allways had an affinity with Big issue sellers,I travel the country as a self employed sales agent which ive done since I was 19 back from Germany (drove a Taxi at weekends if I had had a rotten week from 26) and was a sucker for them,I really respected what they were doing takes a lot so i allways gave them money,not buying a mag but id give them 50P and say good luck I dont need a mag.That was basically their profit on a mag and they still had a mag to sell, Id visit the same towns and see the same guys,real down and outs bless them having a go. I then started to realise that more and more pitches were being taken over by Rumanians most looked Roma Gypsies.,,,and what I thought was this.....exactly the same.. id give them my 50p think good on you and wish them good luck. Then one day I was in Lincoln off the high st by the arch i heard someone shout " Quick thats David" he was the local big issue guy on that corner ,they had seen he was in an allyway 2 guys and a woman (Roma by the look if them) were slapping his face and the woman was kicking him in the shins.That was sorted out ,next day he wasnt there.When I went back a few weeks later the pitch was manned by a Roma woman, This made me think and when I got back I did some digging, This article below explains it all very well actually,how Rumanian gangsters have taken over ,,buying mags in bulk.Plus allows them all to bring whole families over claim many benefits and get a NI number.
