Although it is an outrage that time and money are being wasted on this case as Wadih Chourey clearly should and probably will be allowed to stay, why should the Home Office decide these cases on the basis of petitions? They have laws and guideline that will determine whether he should stay or not. If the law actually states that he needs to leave then it needs to be changed. The refusal of the Home Office to accept the petition has no bearing on the likely outcome of the case.
