| Hear, hear Charlotte! Such a pity that Lorraine's act of goodwill had degenerated into the usual nippy back biting and sniping this forum is famous for! Tis the season to be jolly! It's an egg sandwich for Heaven's sake folks! Just because the Big Issue lady didn't like egg sandwiches she is being pilloried here. Is she denied a choice because she is homeless? Be grateful that you are in a position to choose. I now feel really sorry for her being maligned in such a way. What kind of place has Chiswick turned into that some members of the community feel we deserve unreserved gratitude from homeless person for giving them an egg sandwich. Just stop and think for one moment what you will all be doing on Christmas Day - the food, the presents, the warmth and the families around you. And then take a minute and think of the woman sitting on a cold pavement in December who you mocked and chastised for not being more grateful for a sodding egg sandwich. In answer to the original question - yes there is goodwill in Chiswick but it comes with conditions attached. |
