Plus this Bollo Lane monster now blighting the Gunnersbury Triangle Nature Reserve - as protestors said it would. With the developers subsequently having the equally massive front to market it to overseas buyers as having lovely green views.
Stuart Robinson, chairman of planning at CBRE, working on behalf of site owner and developer Blackstone, told Ealing Council on May 16 2012: "There will be no significant impact on the nature reserve." And what, you might wonder, is CBRE? From their website: "Our team provides a bespoke town planning service, maximising opportunities and creating value for our clients by securing planning permissions for deliverable commercial, residential, retail, leisure and mixed use developments. We work closely with our clients to meet their needs and aspirations, brokering relationships and blending our knowledge of planning policy with commercial acumen."
Eventually voted through by seven Ealing councillors v six who voted against. Astonishing.
